North Canton, OH (10/29/10): As Ohioans prepare for what will undoubtedly be another frigid Midwest winter, fans can expect temperatures to be abnormally high inside of the Chapparells Center in Akron on November 20th. Chapparells has become known for its epic amateur mixed martial arts bouts and the next installment of the popular NAAFS Midwest Combat Challenge series should be no different.
Evolve MMA founder and CEO John Cook steps into the NAAFS cage for the first time as he takes on Chad Insley of Hickstown MMA. Team Evolve has quickly become one of the regions premier fight camps with its outspoken but well respected leader at the helm. One thing is certain….Chapparells will be rockin come November 20th!
Nationally ranked fan favorite Kenny Jackson (5-2) will look to hand New York’s Paul Waite (3-0) his first career loss as these two lightweights do battle as one of fifteen plus scheduled bouts. Strong Style Teammate Dustin Wolf (1-0) will join Jackson and look to win his second straight fight in the NAAFS when he collides with Nutter MMA’s Dallas Dishman (1-1).
Rising amateur prospect Andrew Law (5-1) makes his NAAFS debut against the always tough Ricky Sandlin (3-2) of Tripple Threat MMA. Law comes in riding a five fight winning streak with his most recent win coming over NAAFS veteran Tony Woolf.
Team Relson Gracies Joe SanFillipo (2-1) returns to the NAAFS cage and will look for his third win in four trips when he collides with Josh Gregorek (2-2). Also in action November 20th, Team Instigators Pat Shottenheimer, Dawg House Gyms Frankie Kidd, Cleveland native Joe Janik, Team Dungeons Ronda Gale, Team Evolves Josh Kallai and many more of the regions premier amateur fighters.
