Hendricks Signs Three Fight Deal with NAAFS – Makes debut at 205 lbs at Caged Fury 14
1/20/11 (North Canton, OH): The NAAFS is pleased to announce that it has come to terms with former HW Champion Josh Hendricks (19-6) for a three fight contract.
Financial terms of the deal are not available however his first of the three contracted bouts with the organization has been confirmed for February 26th in Cleveland, Ohio against undefeated pro prospect Dan Spohn.
Hendricks, who fought at UFC 91 against then UFC contender Gabe Gonzaga, has spent his entire career as a heavyweight but feels that the drop to 205 pounds is where he belongs. “I’m finally fighting where I need to be and probably should have been. Ive never felt better physically or mentally and cant wait to show fans what I can do when Im focused and at my best.” said Hendricks.
Hendricks has a career 5-1 record inside the NAAFS cage and a win over Spohn could put him in line for a shot at the 205 pound NAAFS pro series title.
“We are thrilled to have Josh back in the NAAFS and look forward to adding him to an already deep 205 pound weight class” said NAAFS president and pro series matchmaker Greg Kalikas.
