Six Questions with Lalani Malley
Lalani Malley had a breakout year in 2010 winning both of her NAAFS appearances and improving to 3-0 overall to date. Malley will look to get 2011 off to a great start if she can get by arguably her toughest amateur test yet in Amanda Wilcoxen-Morgan (6-1) in the main event of Proving Grounds on February 12th in Akron, Ohio. Heres what Lalani had to say about her upcoming fight and her start in MMA.
Six Questions with Lalani Malley
1) What made you start fighting?
My grandfather was a Judo Master so I was into Martial Arts. His passing away actually inspired me to start fighting for him.
2) What has been your most memorable fight so far in your career?
My debut fight because I learned I had devastating strikes that I didnt know that I had. I kneed my opponent in the sternum and I made the girl puke.
3) Who is your favorite pro fighter and why?
Manny Pacquiao because he is a great fighter and has a great story. He inspires everyone.
4) Your going to be part of an NAAFS main event on February 12th, is that added pressure for you?
No pressure. I have been co-main event and featured in two out of my three fights so far. My only pressure rite now is making weight.
5) What are your thoughts on your opponent February 12th?
She is a one dimensional fighter with decent takedowns……thats it
6) Whats your prediction for this fight?
I predict a beautiful submission or a brutal KO in the second round by me!
