NAAFS Champion faces Irelands First Lady of Fighting – Eye vs Daly Confirmed
3/24/11 (North Canton, OH): As various national MMA news sites have already reported, the NAAFS can confirm that NAAFS national amateur champion and undefeated professional Jessica Eye (8-0) will take on Ireland’s Aisling Daly (10-1) on June 4th in Cleveland as part of Fight Nite in the Flats 7.
Both fighters will enter this fight holding a top ten ranking in the world at 125 lbs while Daly is ranked in the top five according to some rankings.
Eye will come in off a dominant performance in Atlantic City as part of ROC 34 in February winning by first round TKO against Ashely Nee while capturing the ROC womens title at 130 lbs. Eye, the 2009 NAAFS National Amateur female champion, also headlined the historic “NAAFS Eve of Destruction” PPV card last September and defeated Marissa Caldwell by unanimous decision.
Daly will come in to hostile territory to face Eye in her home state of Ohio. Daly has won ten of her first eleven MMA bouts including her most recent win over American Molly Helsel at a Cage Warriors event in England last November. Daly was named the 2010 Female Fighter of the year by the FIGHT IRISH MMA Awards in her native country of Ireland.

Fight Nite in the Flats 7 is slated for Saturday June 4th, 2011 at the Nautica Pavilion in Cleveland, OH. The NAAFS’ largest and most popular annual event will also include the finals of the highly anticipated 4-man HW pro series tournament which kicks off on Saturday April 16th in Canton, OH as part of the stacked Caged Vengeance 9 card.
