5/2/11 – By Jason Adams: If you follow MMA in Ohio and the Midwest, you have surely heard of John Hawk. He was considered a top heavyweight, and is one win from being considered a top light heavyweight.
He gave up the NAAFS heavyweight title to move to a more comfortable weight and fight at 205 pounds. With many impressive wins, including most recently a brutal knockout of Josh Watson, he is now getting a fight he has wanted: a rematch with Dan Spohn, who hold a decision victory over John, but John was clearly not one hundred percent in that fight. Making it even better, its for the NAAFS light heavyweight title. On May 21st you will see, as he says a “bigger and badder John Hawk”.
