Way to go evolve fighters. World Class Coaches, World Class Training! Better look out 135s there is a new champ in town. Arce all the way to night of champions. Micale you got sick ju-jitsu. It would be great to see a night of champs with 2 135s from the same gym! Sorry to see jackson loss. At least one judge saw it right. Low blow and late hits. World Class Coaches, World Class Fighters!

    2. Closed guard says:

Are you for real? You know everyone getting real sick of hearing “world class”.

    3. Anonymous says:

      @ B B Joe,
Evolve is a great gym, you are making it look bad. Especially in the other thread.

      • BB Joe says:

I am sorry if I am making Evolve look bad! I don’t want to do that. It is the best gym in Ohio! I get so pumped. I want everyone to know how good it is. It is a World Class Gym with World Class Coaches, World Class Fighters & World Class Training! I do think you need to watch out for Arce and Micale at 135!

        • Closed Guard says:

Just settle down. Respect is something earned and is given back when you respect others. Loyalty to your gym and friends is a good thing. Do not over do it and make everyone mad at you.

    4. BB Joe says:

I get so pumped when I read things. Like Cherico’s take on the the fight. Totally not the Kenny vs khama fight I watched. Cherico is going to have some tuff competition in NAAFS at 145. I beat on BP any day. I think Arce got way better hands then Isaiah Chapman and real close to Garbrant. You will see him at night of champions!

    5. Anonymous says:

mario is a bum i will bet what little money i have to my name that mario is no where near the title this year. he cant beat cody g, isiah, tyler or even mango. mario should look into dropping to 125.

    6. Anonymous says:

and if you think bp could beat cherico you must be retarded. remember what happen when bp fought healy??? cherico beat healy quiker than healy beat bp

    7. Cook says:

We still have a lot of work ahead of us! Though I would confidently state that we have World Class training, coaches and facility, our fighters still have a ways to go but we train each day to improve and our future is bright. You can’t argue with the level of our staff. It is what it is. Madigian, Musser, Pires, Lorenzo, Law and our performance coaches are all top notch. Our facility is run like other high level
gyms in Vegas and LA. We are still only 3 years old and it takes time to develop a solid stable of fighters. We have over 20 wins and only 6 losses in the NAAFS this year, and 3 of those are BP (sorry little brother) who has fought some pretty tough competition. Anyone that trains with us will tell you we are serious about what we do and do our best to create a winning environment. My main goal is to offer all the Opportunity necessary for athletes to compete at the highest level possible, and to do whatever I can do to help them be as prepared as possible so they can enjoy the sport. We do our best to conduct ourselves in a professional manner and win or lose respect our opponent and the sport with the same enthusiasm. We currently have over 200 members and over 30 competitive fighters. We must be doing something right.

    8. Arce says:

I doubt you’ll see me at night of champions. I’ve had 2 fights, relax you guys, whoever you are.? This year I will get some experience. Next year I go for the title!

    9. Shihan Pat says:

It can be hard sometimes walking the line between being supportive of your dojo and coming off as disrespectful of others. The MMA mentallity of Beer, tatoos and violence needs replaced by the martial arts values of respect and control. Arce you sound respectful! Mark Cherico is a very good martial artist and should be respected for his skills. I look forward to seeing him in fights for NAAFS.

why did kenny jackson leave strong style and go to gay ass evolve

    11. Anonymous says:

why havent we seen john cook in the ring again, nor ryan maddigan.guess they realized they couldent hack it

      • B B says:

Evolve has World Class training, coaches and facility, and fighters! The athletes compete at the highest level possible! IMO Cook is the best over 30 year old amateur in NAAFS! Ryan Maddigan has some of the best striking in the world! Kenny left the other gyms for World Class training! It is not his fault that 2 of the 3 judges where blind!

    12. Anonymous says:

there is always an excuse for losing. there is nothing world class about evolve. Ryan Madigan hasent fought mma in two years. and cook hasent fought again either. jackson switching gyms has nothing to do with being world class. fighters always blame someone else after a loss. i am so sick and tired of people hyping up evolve, they suck

    13. B B says:

You can’t argue with world class staff like Lorenzo, Law, Pires, Madigian, Musser and all the performance coaches! The facility is world class and run like only the best high level
gyms. Ryan Maddigan is one of the best strikers in the world! Kenny Jackson left gyms that where holding him back and to get world class training! Evolve does not suck. All the hype is true!

    14. B B says:

Every one is afraid to fight Cook even that old guy from Instigator. So who is the best gym in Ohio? You Know! That is why Jackson left gay strong style and rock hard!

    15. john says:

law is an ammy, musser just turned pro, madigan chocked in the ufc and after the ufc lost and havent seen him fight in two years, lorenzo is supposedly BPs uncle but hasent helped him much. And john cook laid on his opponent for 3 rounds. Kenny jackson left instigator because he lost, left strong style because he lost, left rock hard because of a horrible performance and will probably leave evolve because he lost

    16. john says:

i dont understand what is so world class about that

      • B B says:

Law has 17 years experience and a Judo Black Belt, Andrew is one of the top coaches in the Midwest. He is a National Judo Champion and 12 state championships! The best judo guy in the state! Musser is a world champion wrestler! Ryan Maddigan has some of the best striking in the world! And John Cook controlled his opponent for 3 rounds! Kenny Jackson left instigator because it is a Tae kwon do school, left strong style because they did not believe in him, left rock hard because it is a trash basement gym and will stay at Evolve because he will be world Class!

    17. B B says:

By the way Lorenzo is the best boxing coach ever! BP has some of the best hands in amateur mma. He is not a wrestler and only lost to wrestlers! His uncle has helped him alot! Isaiah and Cody are afraid to fight BP at 145 because they know his Boxing is so much better. They have ran from him and ducked him!

    18. john says:

thats why BP has so many knockouts to his credit

    19. B B says:

BP has KO, TKO’s and Subs. It is not his fault everyone that would make him look good runs from him. Just like that old guy wrestler from instigator runs from John Cook. LOL! What would you know johnny boy anyway! All the other gyms can’t compare to premere Evlove. Yes it is WORLD CLASS!

    20. john says:

what would you know B B. your probably that guy that shows up at the gym everyday and hang out just so you can feel apart of something.your the one that all of the evolve guys talk about when your not around, how much they cant stand you. BP is that guy they put you against when they want to test you. hes a tough guy but to the NAAFS hes a stepping stone fighter

    21. B B says:

Oh, well Evolve fighters and gym is still World Class!

    22. Anonymous says:

wow you gave up on your boy that easy. shows the heart of evolve. cant even stand up on a chat forum

    23. B B says:

You don’t understand that no gym can compare to the fighters, trainers and facility of Evolve. You are just haters from nutter, instigator, rock hard, strong style, and _______(Add your name here). You all want to be WORLD CLASS. So there! We have over 20 wins in the NAAFS this year and over 200 members and over 30 competitive fighters. We are doing it right.

    24. Closed Guard says:

You are so funny. Did John strike a nerve? All the gyms you knock go out and fight hard and prove they are good in the cage. Then there are those gyms that shot off their mouths telling everyone how great they are. If need to say it you’re not IT! You forgot to add Ohiobjj to you list. LOL!

    25. T says:

What’s up with you B B? There is nothing wrong with Tae kwon do! Do not disrespect Instigator and Victory. If your talking Mike Elsass at 145lb running form Cook they are not even in the same weight class! Kenny jackson left instigator because he lost and can not get along with anyone. He has a big ego! I guess he will fit right in at evolve!

    26. B B says:

Tae kwon do is a joke like instigator. Elsass is running from Cook and his good wrestling! So is that old biker from rock hard. Every one is scared of Cook!

    27. Anonymous says:

B B, Please stop. You’re making a fool out of yourself and making Evolve look bad. Im starting to suspect that you’re not even serious. Elsass and Van Meter are weight classes away from Cook, they aren’t running from him. Cook should’nt be fighting old guys anyways. He’s in too good of shape and too talented in the wrestling dept for the other old guys.

    28. boxer says:

mike elsass is a great wrestler and in good shape but to small to fight cook like prev said he fights 145

    29. O'Tool says:

B B you need to please stop! You are just trying to stirring up trouble and hype. It all does not revolve around you and your gym. The fighters you are mentioning are all to small and fight at 145. Your gym has good instructors and facilities just like many across the state and the country. Relax and let people see by actions who the good ones are.

    30. Fight game says:

@ B B. I have been in the fight game for over 20 year so I know a little about this. There is a need for many gyms because if your gym was the only one who would your guys fight? Ohio is such a good state for MMA because of the level of all the gyms. ALl the gyms drive the level of competition up, making everyone better. It is fun to speculate which fighters are the best. Let is get settled in the ring! There are also weight class for reasons.

      • B B says:

I am sure you are right about needing opponants! I get so pumped. I like being a part of something so great. Everyone is so nice and it bothers me when people rag on us and our fighters. I want everyone to know how good it is. It is the best gym in Ohio! I hear it all the time that Evolve is World Class Gym with World Class Coaches, World Class Fighters & World Class Training so when they rag on us it gets me so mad! I thought that Elsass and van Meter were in Mr. Cooks weight and did not know they were that small. It just sounded like they where running from him.

    31. Cook says:

First off…Mike Elsass is a good friend of mine and even if I cut off my legs I would struggle to make his weight…I dont know who B B is but he is just having some fun from what it sounds like. Thank you for the comment that I should not be fighting old guys, I dont think I should but that is the OAC rule. As far as night fighting right now, I fough in Novemeber and in April…I am taking some time off to focus on my team. To address the comments disparaging the MMA careers of our coaches…that has no bearing on their ability to coach at a high level. I understand the basics of the sport but I have NEVER claimed to be a high level MMA coach. But what I am is professional strength and conditioning coach and I think my experience speaks for itself. As I said before, we are a relatively new camp but have faired well in the toughest promotion in the area. We are still a few years away from being the team I know we can become. To argue that our coaches are not World class in their respective arts is ridiculous. Again, their credentials speak for themselves. As far as my MMA career goes, I am doing this for fun and to do my best to win fights…which I have done twice in two attempts. Sometimes you have to lay on a guy to accomplish that! I dont like to take chances. The pressure on me to win is great and even if I knocked someone out or subbed them in the firts round, Haters would find something negative to say about it. Anyone who has been in the cage knows it is harder than it looks to finish someone, especially when you are drenched in sweat. When you are 42 years old lets see if you can go 3 rounds in the cage. I think fighting all three rounds without having a heart attack is more of a statement at my age than finishing someone quickly. At Evolve we respect all the gyms that compete. Are members are just proud of our coaches and training center and sometimes they get a little excited. I will be fighting again soon and then I will face fighters in the open division. I will prove that my conditioning is superior and my ability to control the fight will surpass the physical advantages that someone in their prime posesses. Anyone that REALLY knows me will tell you that I truly love this sport and my passion is helping others obtain their goals. Thats it! Big Hugs to all of you! COOKIE
